The Collect logs prompt never appears
Start from the Home screen and hold the Settings cog for the full 20 seconds before releasing.
Support guide
Trackside can turn your Garmin Catalyst sessions into laps you can review and compare. First, collect the encrypted SupportLogs archive from the Catalyst and copy every part of it to a location your iPhone can access.
The process
Keep the device powered and leave the microSD card installed until the Catalyst reports success.
Connect the Catalyst to the powered mount and wait for the Home screen. Plug the mount into a wall outlet if you are doing this away from the car.
On the Home screen, press and hold the Settings cog for about 20 seconds, then release. The Collect logs prompt should appear.
If the normal Settings screen opens, return to Home and try again—hold the cog for the full 20 seconds before releasing it.
Choose Yes when the Catalyst asks to collect logs. Keep the device powered while it works. A device with many sessions may need more than 10 minutes.
After the Success screen appears, turn off the Catalyst and remove the microSD card.
Open the card on your computer, then open the Garmin folder at its top level.
Copy every file whose name begins with SupportLogs. A large
archive may be split into several parts; Trackside needs all of them together.
Move the copied files to iCloud Drive, AirDrop them to your iPhone, or otherwise make them available in the Files app. In Trackside, open Sessions, tap Import (or Import Sessions when the list is empty), and select every SupportLogs part in one pass.
Leave the files encrypted and compressed. Trackside reads the Catalyst archive directly.
Troubleshooting
Start from the Home screen and hold the Settings cog for the full 20 seconds before releasing.
Insert the microSD card into a card reader. Garmin notes that MTP devices may not appear as normal drives in macOS.
That is normal. Keep the parts in the same folder, keep their original names, and select all of them when importing.
